A.M. Medical Technology LLC. required high-precision micro shafts used in minimally invasive surgical instruments. The components demanded exceptional dimensional accuracy, burr-free surfaces, and stable concentricity.

SwissTurningCenter.com developed a custom Swiss CNC turning solution specifically designed for medical micro components.

Customer Requirements

• Diameter: 1.2 mm stainless steel shaft
• Surface finish: Ra ≤ 0.4 μm
• Concentricity tolerance: ≤ 0.003 mm
• Clean edges without burrs
• Annual volume: 150,000 pieces

Manufacturing Solution

Using Swiss-type CNC automatic lathes, our engineers implemented:
